Hey Tristian, good post! I was just making my way to throw these up. I rearranged the videos to show the Locke one first so they were in order of release and added the "Trailers" label to your post. While I def. prefer the multiplayer of Halo's 1-3 over 343i's Halo 4, the one thing the company managed to expand brilliantly on was the Halo Universes story of Sierra 117 Master Chief. These trailers have furthered my excitement for the game, especially by announcing a release date, to jump back into Halo and find out why in the hell everyone is turning on one of my favorite characters in gaming history. Despite the images we see in these trailers, I don't think we'll see Locke or Chief lose their lives. In fact, I expect to see both of them storming UNSC ships to expose the truth once it's been found. In other words, Halo 5 is going to be all about the anarchy.

Thanks CaptainSlayer . I noticed that after watching these ads, that there's small differences. The Master Chief statue's head is cracked on the side in Master Chief's version. It isn't in Locke's version. I also noticed that they both seem to have a strong hate for each other, not to mention Master Chief had a little more sheilds/health in his version. I don't think we're gonna be getting a Halo game where we kill humans because everything Master Chief has done to this point has been for the good of humanity. I think Locke screwed up something for Master Chief hence the "Is this what you wanted" speech. As for Locke, he thinks of Master Chief as a traitor. So there's something there, maybe the thing Master Chief awakens in the old trailer? Or perhaps the Master Chief was blamed for something by ONI? I have no idea what's going on, but I too am excited for it. Also Ryan5908 Yes.

I think Chief is in deep shit for disobeying direct orders from higher officers in Halo 4 when it was demanded that he forfeit Cortana so that she could be wiped and he said, "Fuck you".
I believe Locke was chosen to take Master Chiefs place and that he was ordered to find an eliminate Spartan 117 at all costs for defecting from the UNSC.
The difference between the two of them being that Locke blindly follows the orders given to him and believes whatever it is that the higher ups tell him as opposed to John who always did what was right and what needed to be done regardless of his superiors.
I think the "Is this what you wanted?" is foreshadowing Chief showing Locke all the harm that the UNSC has brought and basically revealing the lies to him. I think Chief is going to convince Locke to open his eyes and help bring down the corruption in the UNSC.
With that said, Arbiter is aiding Locke and I'm not sure why. Him and Chief are friends, I'm sure the Arbiter isn't looking out for the UNSC. He befriended 117, not them.
With that said, I could be wrong. But it's my interpretation. I also believe we haven't seen the last of Cortana.

John didn't get in trouble after that, the other guy did. Captain Del Rio was relived of his command, it turns out the UNSC doesn't like it when you don't save lives (Captain Del Rio refused to aid John, and left for Earth abandoning Master Chief on Requiem). This's supposed to be the "Darkest Halo game" so the UNSC could be the bad guys, but I think the main bad guys are ONI. ONI is telling Locke what to do, and ONI might fear the Master chief. If Master Chief is the ISO Didact, then he'll remember where all the ISO Didact's relics are, and maybe even find where the ISO Didact is located (Besides how was he able to find where that thing was in the 2013 teaser?). The Flood might make a bigger return then ever, because the Spirit of Fire was on a collision course to a planet. (But this may be Halo 6 stuff). This's the "Reclaimer" trilogy, so I doubt we're done with forerunners.

well the tags for these vids are hunt the truth.....sooooooooo i think neither of these are necessarily the truth, and that maybe they are possible distortions on the truth that Locke may tell to the UNSC to keep Chief safe, and that eventually him and Chief will team up
