Blink-182 has been my favorite band for years and years. Through my childhood, teen years and now early adulthood I've always enjoyed listening to these guys playing music.
Recently, the experienced the second time Tom DeLonge decided he was going to neglect the band again. But instead of going on another hiatus, Mark and Travis said "fuck this" and got Matt Skiba of Akaline Trio to take Tom's place for a short tour and he might become a full time member.
It's Tom's fault this has all happened, but in this video I can't help but feel the emotions the guy is going through getting kicked out of his own band and seeing someone else just step in to OVERWHELMING SUPPORT. (Go to 27:31 on the video below to hear the crowd go fucking ballistic when the band starts playing Wendy Clear, a song they haven't played since 2004.)
So while I fully support Matt Skiba with his kick ass vocals and guitar playing + punk influence, this video showed that Tom can still sing better than that whiny AvA stuff man. I really hope this guy finds his way.
