First footage of the rumored Gears of War remaster for Xbox One has come out via Xbox Live users ElitistPath05 and SpongyPlains6.
The game is said to be in development at Splash Damage, and will feature improved lighting, increased texture quality, and run at 60 frames per second. Multiple people reportedly had access to a test build last month. These videos were recorded on February 26, meaning they’re likely from an earlier build.

[Slayer's Take: It looks like the Gears of War remaster (or Ultimate Edition as most people are calling it) is all but 100% confirmed. I believe these clips to be 100% real as the evidence and teases just keep piling up. Rod Ferguson (Head of Black Tusk Studios) announced that we should look forward to E3 2015 for details on on-going Gears of War Projects. Keyword, Projects. The rumored release date of the Gears one remaster is late 2015 with Gears of War 4 launching sometime next year. With Splash Damage studios working on the remaster, this means that no attention has been pulled from Gears of War 4 by Black Tusk and I fully support the longer development cycle to get the best god damn Gears game there can be. Until four, it's a safe bet I'll be getting my fill of Gears One. After all, I didn't play it nearly as much as two and three during the Xbox 360's life span.]
