Tanya, who made her debut in Mortal Kombat 4, is making her way to Mortal Kombat X next week.
Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon tweeted her release date. Kombat Pack owners can grab her on June 2 and she will be available widely on June 9.
We were impressed with Mortal Kombat X, even without the addition of characters like Tanya, Jason Vorhees, and the Predator. You can read our review here. It remains unconfirmed, but reports this morning indicate that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X may be delayed.
[Slayer's Take: Player's who own the Kombat Pack of purchase Tanya separately will also receive the "Klassic Skin Pack #1" which includes Mortal Kombat 1 skins of Sonya Blade, Lui Kang and Kano. I don't remember much about Mortal Kombat 4 as it's one of the only games I skipped when I was younger so I don't have a lot of insight on Tanya. That being said, out of the four characters to be released with the Kombat Pack she's easily the one I'm 'least' excited about. Regardless, I'll be on Mortal Kombat X next Tuesday running towers with her and enjoying the new skins. In addition, much like the "Kold War" skins, we should expect to see the "Brazil" skin pack released soon after Tanya which includes new Brazillian skins for Johnny Cage, Kung Lao and Lui Kang and will probably be a separate purchase for $3.99.]
