Tatooine is a planet in the binary Tatoo star system and is covered entirely in sand making it a giant, unending desert with two suns. Its inhabitants are primarily poor moisture farmers and scavengers but thanks to the massive quantity of corrupt crooks and crime lords, Tatooine has earned itself a bad reputation considered by many to be the cesspool of the galaxy. Despite being outlawed by the Galactic Empire, the extremely dangerous sport of Podracing thrives in the dry dunes of Tatooine with high profile sponsors such as Jabba the Hutt overseeing the process of setting up the races and managing bets placed on racers in what is the biggest gambling ring in the galaxy. Not many possess the skills needed to pilot a Podracer but those willing to take the risk are often rewarded greatly for their efforts... if they can survive the track.
Grand Theft Auto Online Race
Date: 8/15/15
Time: 9 PM EST
Number of Players: Up to 30
Balancing: An even number of racers from each faction.
Rewards: Two tickets for first place, one ticket for all other places.
The Grand Theft Auto Online Race will task racers with building their own Podracer and bringing their "A" game to a custom made track in the Blaine County desert. Players are allowed to customize and use any super vehicle to participate in the race with. All customizations are allowed including performance and visual upgrades to create the fastest Pod in the game.
Players are allowed and encouraged to race dirty by taking out opponents. Using weaponry is not allowed.
