Today during Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference, the publisher showed off character creation in its open-world RPG Fallout 4. While the first trailer for the game only showed a male protagonist, game director Todd Howard confirmed that players can play as different genders and races as well.
The character creation tools feature the blank slate of a protagonist standing in front of the bathroom mirror as you alter their face in real time. Fallout 4's inclusive approach to character customization is just the most recent example of the studio's tradition of exhaustive creation options in its RPGs, including Fallout 3.
