While the Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda is skipping E3, Nintendo isn't keeping us out of Hyrule. The company announced a new cooperative title in the spirit of Four Swords Adventure for 3DS.
This time out, the competitive elements have been removed so players are focused solely on completing puzzles together. The Legend Zelda: Triforce Heroes introduces a number of new elements that are fitting for the change.
Players can use a "totem mode" to stand on each others shoulders to take aim at taller switches and enemies. There is also a significant costume element that also includes crafting.
Players will find items that enable them to construct new outfits. These include Spin Attack Attire, Lucky Loungewear, and the Big Bomb Outfit. Each has its own abilities that players will need to use to progress through classic Zelda-style dungeons.
There is a solo play option, as two dolls can be used and switched among in order to complete puzzles. The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes will be out this fall for 3DS.
