Nintendo continued its thread of announcements this morning with the long-awaited announcement of when we can play Yoshi's Woolly World. You'll be able to have a ball (of yarn) with Yoshi this October.
We also had a chance to see more Amiibo transformations, including Samus, and the two-player cooperative play. One Yoshi can eat and then throw the other to higher ground to reach distant collectibles.
The unraveling mechanic, which is used to hide secret paths and items, was also on display. Even though the gameplay seems to largely be an adaptation of previous Yoshi titles, the aesthetic and how that impacts visual effects and animations makes it quite a looker.
We'll be able to check it out at home on October 16, 2015.
