Hello everyone and welcome to the official Panic Nation - GTA Rally Racing Tournament thread.
After hearing feedback on the tournament things have been changed rather drastically.
There will no longer be two large teams competing in the tournament. Instead, players are allowed to pick their partner and register together. These two racers will stay together for the entire tournament. Only one player needs to post in the thread to verify themselves and their team mate, however, please make sure your team mate will participate!
If we earn a odd number of racers, I will step in to help the lone driver, though only as a passenger.
To ensure fairness, no races will feature custom vehicles and on race day all racers will be racing the same track as opposed to separate tracks.
The bonus point for clean driving has also been thrown away as monitoring such behavior would be near impossible.
Instead, players will be randomly matched against their opponents a day or so before each race night. Leaderboards will be based on wins earned. If you win, you earn a point, if you lose, you get a pat on the back.
Prizes are being adjusted accordingly.
The rules of the tournament as very similar to those we saw in the Halo Wars tournament and are as follows:
- Lag is to be expected with our variety of connections. Some 'hopping', 'phasing' or 'flying' may occur during races. While minor issues will be ignored, if it becomes so significant that the race is clearly a mess it will be cancelled and the lagging party will be replaced with another racer (Captain's choice) from their team.
- No Trash Talking, Rage Quitting, Bitching or Crying. This is a game. It is for fun. You are not allowed to quit out of the game, give up and stop driving or piss and moan nonsense. Anyone guilty of doing any of the above will be removed from the tournament and become ineligible to participate in the next event hosted by Panic Nation.
- No network manipulation. This includes lag switching, stand bying, host booting, etc.
