Microsoft and 2K Games revealed some new Evolve information during Microsoft's E3 press conference. First, the Xbox One version will be home to exclusive DLC as well as the console beta. In addition, we got to see a fearsome new beast in action, a lightning-spewing monstrosity.
The new monster seems to be more comfortable loping around on four limbs than upright. It's covered in tentacles that look a mix between something you'd see on an octopus and an elephant's trunk. He's able to use them to generate lightning, and it appears as though can take to the air for at least limited amounts of flight. In other words, it looks like players who are used to fighting the previously announced creature will have to switch up their tactics if they want to survive.
The new beast joins the previously announced Goliath, a muscled beast with the ability to tear stones from the earth and exhale gusts of flame.
I was excited to see a Cthulhuesque monster join the monster gang in addition to the Goliath, and I'm quite excited to play as Bucket and get my ass wrecked by some behemoths. I'm also pleased that we will be getting some exclusive DLC on the ONE, it helps ease the blow of all the awesome Destiny stuff that is going to be exclusive on PS4.
