So I dont know about anyone else but the phantasy star games (online and universe) are arguably one of the greatest MMO's ever made. for awhile now (since before it's japan release ive been periodically checking on it's western release status. Recently ive read that unfortunately it will not be coming out in the west on PC let alone consoles. Apparently this is do to the fact that they dont think that they will make enough money. what are your thoughts on this if you have any?

That's very disappointing. I was unable to play PSU online due to my age and unemployment at the time. But I played the Beta for years. Sad to see it's not heading this way.

The good part of this is that you can still play it but it will just be in Japanese but they are working on an english server somewhere in south asia i believe so it is still playable but it will probably be a process to get.
On a side note if they had announced it for console release i would buy a copy and all of the possible DLC/expansions in a heartbeat, and if there was a fee to play online id pay that as well and i know there are plenty of people who would do the same.

Oh if u guys only knew the hundreds of hours I put into playing each and every phantasy star games ugh my pants are getting tight just thinking about it. And in case any one was wondering I have played about 40 hours on the knew one. My uncle can read/write/speak Japanese so he gave me basic translations since he was playing it too. He was the one who introduced me to the series with his Japanese modded sega dreamcast back in the day

i got my friend hooked on the phantasy star games and he played PSO2 for a bit but i havent been able to play it because i dont have a computer
