Tonight, Game Freak unveiled a new feature for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire that will let players manage their own area that other players can visit and compete in, effectively giving players their own gym.
Officially, this new feature is called a Secret Base, but players can set up traps and mazes that visiting players will have to overcome. In The Pokémon Company's press release for the new feature, it says players can transform their Secret Bases into their own Pokémon gyms.
Alongside decoration customization options, players can also collect flags from others' bases, make Secret Pals friendships with other players, exchange special skills, and much more

I personally think this is a very cool idea and could add flavor to our own Pokémon project.
