So with the close of the 2014 Alignment Wars finally here we have seen the most activity out of this community over the past month. While it was probably the most stressful months on the entire community we made it through in one piece (for the most part anyway) we saw everybody come together and compete. We saw people that normally wouldn't play together without a mutual friend present play together almost daily. We have welcomed some new friends into our family who I hope to see around for a long time to come. I also hope to continue to bring people like this into the community. Now it is fully expected for activity on the website to drop now that the Alignment Wars are over, and it is likely that people may migrate back to the groups they were part of before but my hope is that this competition brought these people close enough together that they will continue to regularly play with former team mates. I hope that people will continue to get on the site daily or at least every couple of days because it is one of the best ways for everyone to keep up to date with what may be going on with other people, what other people are looking forward to, and what people are interested in playing together. I hope that we will continue to grow and play together on a regular basis. I love you all and I hope to talk to you all very soon. -EZ

The idea of the 2014 Alignment Wars was born in a day as I sat in my car, driving to work, clawing away in my mind trying to decide on an event for the upcoming weekend. The idea went through several phases. Morphing constantly as I had new ideas and worked on problems with current ones. I was excited to see people take interest in the idea around mid July when we held the meeting on Halo 4. I put a lot of time into balancing out the teams and events. Obviously, all of my planning wasn't without it's flaws as we saw through out the tournament. There were times when I wanted to pull my hair out in frustration, there were times when my sides ached from laughing so hard. At the end of it all, I'm relieved to have the event come to a close. I'm happy to be able to take a break for a bit and let myself recharge. The event managed to get two hard working members motivated and dedicated to building a better community with me. It got some new blood introduced to the community. It got just around $150 raised towards a community members Xbox One in a month. Hell, it got a lot of stuff. But while I'm relieved to see it end. I'm also excited for the games to begin in 2015. With the knowledge I have now from our first annual Alignment Wars, I can build a bigger and better experience with the Panic Nation team to ensure a smoother ride for next year. So, for now, I'm going to take a rest as I'm sure a few players want to do as well. But worry not, we will still have events and new features coming on a regular basis. Keep your eyes peeled for the Halloween Festival later this year Thanks for playing!
