Vault of Glass, Destiny's first raid, has been beaten 14 hours after it went live, by a clan called PrimeGuard.
The clan posted photographic evidence on its Twitter account today, and shared the statistics of the six-person raid: by calculating the members' kill-death ratios, the total amount of deaths works out to about 1,605. The clan called it the "single most challenging" experience the members have had as gamers.
Bungie acknowledged the inaugural victory on its own Twitter account, and also invited PrimeGuard to try the raid on hard tier now. David Dague (aka DeeJ), Bungie's community manager, congratulated the clan as well: "Good game, Guardians. Good game."
Bungie recommends being at least level 26 before attempting Vault of Glass, and considering the higher levels of PrimeGuard's members, even that kind of experience will require grinding. The newest raid is one of a handful of September events the developer has planned, with several more leading into next month.
