Update #2: Update #8 will arrive tomorrow, Thursday, October 23. It brings with it 17 new achievements, private match burn card sets, and new ranked play.
You can read up on all the changes in the official patch notes.
Update #1: Respawn has announced an upcoming mode for Titanfall that will add a new form of team play. Frontier Defense is a twist on the well-worn horde mode concept that introduces new enemies and a new reason to spend those burn cards.
Frontier Defense will be playable across all 24 maps. New enemies include Mortar Titans, Sniper Spectres, and Arc Titans that will instantly drop shields on Titans and the Harvester (the object you'll defend) if you get too close.
Respawn added some new behaviors for the existing enemies, too. Because the team wanted this to feel like the Titanfall you know, Spectres will be able to rodeo your titan and take it out.
Update #8 will also add Marked for Death Pro, which ends the round as soon as one of the two marked pilots dies. The final new inclusion is called Deadly Ground, which interacts with a number of other game modes like Capture the Flag. The ground is covered with electric smoke, so you'll need to stay on rooftops or wall running. Titans will take constant damage, drastically shortening their lifespan.
The livestream is still in progress, and we're waiting for details on the release window.
