It's polite to RSVP for an event even if you don't plan on attending. It's the right thing to do. Ubisoft wants to encourage this good behavior with free DLC for anyone who simply says they're going to watch an upcoming Twitch livestream event for Assassin's Creed Unity.
The DLC is called the American Prisoner pack, and it includes a French rapier for Arno, a parade pistol (promising precision firing and good range), the American Prisoner mission ("liberate philosopher Thomas Paine and recover his historic manuscripts"), and the Master Assassin Hood (which confers more health points).
The Twitch livestream starts Friday, November 7 at 2 p.m. central time, with a pre-show at 11 a.m. central. The livestream will show off both co-op and single-player modes, as well as feature giveaways and interviews with the developers.
Sign up for the event and take a look at the livestream schedule here. If there's a catch, it's that you need a UPlay account or register for one to complete the RSVP and get the DLC. Once you RSVP, a notice says you'll get an email with a code for the DLC on launch day.
Assassin's Creed Unity comes out for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on November 11.
PN Opinion: You can't beat free. I've already RSVP'd and severely doubt I'll have time to view the stream. Hell, I don't even know if I'll get to play Unity. But as said, you can't beat free!
