Well, it seems the next Halo title is a little further off than most of us anticipated. But what about last year at E3 when we were promised a 2014 Halo Title on the Xbox One? Most people are drooling at the thought of Halo 2 Anniversary, and I got to admit, I'd buy it if the multiplayer was made from scratch. Also, the spartan standing above cheif in the image has caused a ton of discussion. Word is, that little spartan, is none other than our blue friend Cortana. The books detail vaugley of an AI becoming an actual human. Plus with the title 'Guardian' it only makes you think of Cortana saving cheif in the end of Halo 4. If I put money on it, I'd say that blue visored spartan is none other than the blue bugger and her and cheif are gonna' do the nasty on the wreckage of the pillar of autumn (if it didn't blow up), only time will tell. Anyone with half a brain new the next halo game in the series wouldn't come out this year. That would've put it too soon after Halo 4 release to have been feasible. So ya, I am 100% sure that the next Halo title to release will be a Halo 2 anniversary, and whether or not that will be on the Xbone I'm not sure, but I don't see it as being Xbone exclusive.

There is also speculation that the blue spartan might be sent to hunt down cheif. Some people are saying it's likely after Cortana's death, 117 defected to go do his own thing and the UNSC has scrambled Spartans to capture John and return him to the UNSC's hands.
Either way, both theory's sound like a bad ass story line.

lol, speculation. Im sure the story is just the chief on some old forerunner worlds hunting down some doohicky that will allow him to fulfill his role as the reclamer.

The defection story line makes sense. Cheif is seen in the E3 trailer out in the middle of no where with Cortana's chip in hand. He was very defiant to his commanding officers in Halo 4, disobeying orders to hand the AI over. I can definitely see them spinning John as a "rogue" spartan due to him losing his shit after the death of Cortana. It makes sense after Halo 4 was trying to show that yes John is a badass, but, he is also a human being. After all that and the other shit that the UNSC has done to him including just writing him off as dead several times; I think it's plausible that now he has gone a bit mental, similar to what was going on with Cortana in 4, and due to his defection the UNSC will want to hunt him down and probably due tests on him to find out what made him the best, or some shit along those lines. No matter what it is I'm stoked for it, and cannot wait |

I'm in the same boat as you David. I'm hoping the Arbiter will show up again. They announced earlier that the 'reclaimer trilogy' is no longer a trilogy, they didn't want to pack it all into three games. I think we will see numerical halos through the life of the XBONE.
Heres to hoping the hornet/falcon, brutes and chopper come back ^^

Apparently there is also a rumored Master Chief Collection in the works for the Xbone. It will be a remastered Halo 1,2,3,and even 4 O.o

I saw that on Game Informer. I think if it's something like that, it will just be multiplayer. Like all the maps and all the armors. THAT would be great.

something cool to note and a little nerdy is that if you look really closely or zoom in a bit on the "other" spartan chest there is an emblem there that is totally for the Naval Intelligence Office which means the theory about UNSC or even ONI cominig after Chief is looking more and more plausible
